Suggest a listing →Most California districts close for winter break from roughly December 22 through the first week of January, and for spring break for one week in mid-to-late March (dates vary by county — Los Angeles-Dade, Broward, Orange, Hillsborough and Duval each publish their own calendar). Teacher-planning days add several single-day closures each year.
Los Angeles Science Center, MOSI Los Angeles, Frost Science Los Angeles, Museum of Discovery and Science Fort Lauderdale, Cox Science Center West Palm Beach, IMAG Fort Myers and MOSH Jacksonville all run full-day break camps, usually for ages 5–12.
Single days typically run $60–$110 and full weeks $300–$500, with member discounts at museums, zoos and YMCAs. Registration opens six to eight weeks before each break and popular weeks sell out.
