Sunflower Fine Art Academy (向日葵艺术学院) runs a genuinely structured art program — kids progress through named levels rather than one-size drop-ins. The youngest Doodlers (age 4) build imagination and fine motor skills through colors, stories and games; by Sketch Sense (11+) students are developing a personal artistic style with individualized guidance. Classes are held at the GBCCA building on Cherry St in West Newton.

Two themed journeys this fall
Little Artists, Big Dreams — a 13-session art journey (Sundays, 9/6/26–1/31/27) where each class channels one famous artist: Kara Walker silhouettes, Hokusai's rhythmic lines, van Gogh's impressionist texture, Leo Lionni's color relationships, Rousseau's spatial layering, Mary Blair's geometric design — ending with a progress buffer and a 'Narrative Illustration' project for kids who finish early.
Watercolor Wonder — a 13-week ocean-themed watercolor series: water control → tropical fish → glowing jellyfish → salt-textured coral → a giant wet-on-wet whale → sea turtle, octopus and large-scale composition, finishing with a mini-gallery exhibition of each child's work.
