Online history lectures paired with a real excursion to a Boston-area museum — Harvard's Museum of the Ancient Near East, the MFA, or the Museum of Russian Icons. In Russian, for school-age kids.

RECC (Russian European Cultural Club) Boston runs a set of kids' history modules that mix three online lectures with one real museum excursion — the part that sets it apart from a purely online course. Each module covers a period: Ancient Egypt & Mesopotamia, Ancient Greece & Rome, Ancient East, and Byzantium & Ancient Rus, each timed to a matching excursion at the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East, the Museum of Fine Arts, or the Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton.
Modules run on Tuesdays, with sessions offered at both 6pm and 7pm. Pricing starts at $75 per module for the three lectures plus the excursion; the museum visit is reserved for module participants. Everything runs in Russian.
Upcoming start dates: Ancient East — Oct 27 · Byzantium & Ancient Rus — Dec 1. Contact RECC directly by WhatsApp or email to confirm a module still has open seats before booking.
RECC also runs a lecture series and private tours for adults — see their site for the full list. More options in our guide to Russian programs for Greater Boston kids.
