Help a family set up a home from nothing: sort donated furniture and household goods at the Acton warehouse. Families are welcome to volunteer together.
Household Goods furnishes homes for families who arrive with nothing — after a shelter stay, a fire, a move out of an unsafe situation. Volunteers sort the donated furniture and household goods that make that possible, and families are welcome to work together.
For children, the concrete part lands well: this lamp, this set of plates, this kitchen table goes to a family who has none. Check their volunteer page for current shift times and any age guidance before you go.
