Stroll a 19th-century village by lantern light — Victorian carolers, an 1866 decorated tree, brass and fiddle music, contra dancing and Christmas-past storytelling.
The closest thing Long Island has to time travel, and the quiet counterweight to all the LED light trails. The village closes for the winter afterwards.
