The venues that actually program for children — family concert series, children's musicals, puppetry and family film. Bookmark these calendars and you'll never be short of a Sunday plan.
The Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck runs Westchester's most consistent family series (puppetry, music and theater); Tarrytown Music Hall adds family matinees and kids' concerts in an 1885 hall; the White Plains Performing Arts Center stages youth productions; and the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville pairs family film with kids' filmmaking classes.
Tilles Center in Brookville has a dedicated family series, the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport runs children's musicals year-round, Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington programs family concerts in the Jeanne Rimsky Theater, and The Paramount in Huntington hosts all-ages concerts and comedy.
Not yet for New York — venue calendars change weekly, so we point you at the venue's own schedule rather than risk stale dates. Our Boston guide has a full dated calendar and New York's is coming as we grow the local listings.
