Parallel Sound Studio teaches one-on-one lessons across essentially every instrument a kid might pick up — piano, guitar, drums, voice, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, woodwinds and brass — in person at the Newton studio or over Zoom, with a free first lesson to try it out. Group programs include Rock Band classes at two levels (Basics and Stage Ready, ending in real performances), a Fall Musical Theater program, and two summer camps — a Rock Band Camp and a Theater Camp, each running two sessions. The studio also rents rehearsal space for young bands.
